Mariano Zuzunaga, Peruvian photographer based in Barcelona for more than 30 years, is also a piano player that explores contemporary music from improvisation along with free and open structures. This album is the result of a long collaboration with percussionist Manongo Mujica, with whom he has worked for years.

All songs are the result of the musical interaction between both musicians.  There was no rehearsal prior to this recording. Both of them relied on the “here and now” and trusted in the natural process of creation.

The colors, textures and atmospheres evolve organically, with the feeling of each song accordingly.

Sometimes is Zuzunaga who issues the proposal and Mujica complements his initiative.  The inverse case is also valid, where Mujica suggests rhythms or unknown spaces and Zuzunaga finds the correspondent melodies.   May the name of the album obeys to a feeling of freedom and expansion that only the wind gives us.  Thus, the name of Aeolic was born.
