Audio EngineerMidCities - Hurst, TX 76053OverviewPosition Type Part TimeDescriptionLocation: MidCitiesDepartment: ProductionReports to: Production PastorStatus: Non-Exempt, Part-Time, As NeededSupervisory Role: NoDate Updated: 3/19/2026Objective:The responsibility of this position is primarily focused on overseeing the audio needs at the MidCities Campus.Essential Job Functions:Mix and oversee all audio aspect for the weekend services.Help with troubleshooting and maintenance of audio equipment.Run audio production needs for events (ministry and non-ministry) as needed or assigned. (Optional)Technical Systems:Ensure working audio equipment in a manner that fits the specific needs & culture of the service/event.Responsible for keeping Production areas (Backstage, FOH, Production Storage Areas) clean and tidy.Equipment upgrades and purchasing decisions go through the Production Director.All other tasks, duties or projects as assigned by the Production Director.We consider ministry readiness, and an individual's capacity to represent Compass Church's beliefs, during the selection process for all positions.Each member of the Compass Church team takes a "how can I help" approach to ministry. While each team member has individual areas of responsibility, collaboration and support permeates our culture. There is no task below a team member at Compass. If we see something that needs to be done, we do it.QualificationsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Be a Biblically based and spirit filled Christian, ascribing to the vision and beliefs of Compass Christian Church.Be a stable, mature and growing Christian with an exemplary personal, marital, and family life.Be of moral and spiritual integrity in all areas.Champion and follow the 12 Staff CommandmentsBe a team playerExhibit good people skillsCurrent with latest best practices of live audio mixingMinimum 5 years of live audio experienceFamiliar with Yamaha DM7 sound consoles preferredWork well with the production team and worship team to execute the weekend services at a high levelHigh degree of initiative, accountability and attention to detailPrompt response and resolution to constructive feedback from the Production DirectorGood problem-solving skills, including ability to identify and avoid potential problems before they happenAbility to manage multiple priorities calmly under pressure and to adjust, when needed, to the changes in priorities or conditions of the fast-paced production industryAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, and cooperatively as part of a teamAbility to maintain constructive, positive relationships with co-workersProfessional attitude and appearance; positive spirit and enthusiasmBe prepared to send recorded example of a live audio mix that you have done within the past 6 months if requested.
