Job Description

This role offers an opportunity for a motivated carpenter helper with at least 1 year of carpentry experience to support construction projects while continuing to develop hands-on skills. You will assist experienced carpenters with a variety of framing, installation, and general carpentry tasks, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist carpenters with framing, installation, and general construction tasks on residential and commercial projects.

  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials under the direction of experienced carpenters.

  • Help install trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and other wood components as assigned.

  • Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely while following instructions and company procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and storing materials properly.

  • Support carpenters in completing projects according to specifications and project timelines.

  • Follow all safety guidelines, use required personal protective equipment, and participate in safety meetings.

  • Work closely with team members and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of carpentry or construction experience.

  • Basic knowledge of framing, carpentry techniques, and construction materials.

  • Ability to use common hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced carpenters and supervisors.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.

  • Dependable work ethic and commitment to job site safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting residential or commercial construction projects.

  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic construction drawings or instructions.

  • Knowledge of general construction site practices and safety requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
