Job Description

Full Stack Developer Intern Duties: The Full Stack Developer Intern supports the design, development, testing, documentation, and maintenance of web applications across front-end, middleware, and back-end systems under the guidance of experienced department colleagues. This role will gain practical experience and technical skills with modern software development practices, including application development, APIs, databases, unit testing, agile delivery, troubleshooting, documentation, code reviews, security awareness, and collaboration with cross-functional team members. Pay Range USD $23.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist with the development and maintenance of front-end, middleware, and back-end application components under the guidance of experienced software developers. Support the development of web application features, bug fixes, internal tools, reports, APIs, integrations, or other assigned software development tasks. Write, update, and test code while following established coding standards, development practices, and team review processes. Participate in unit testing, test-driven development practices, troubleshooting, and validation activities to help ensure software quality and reliability. Learn and apply basic concepts related to RESTful APIs, data formats, databases, user interfaces, middleware, and system integrations. Collaborate with developers, quality assurance, product owners, business stakeholders, and other team members to understand requirements and complete assigned work. Participate in agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and work tracking tools such as Jira. Assist with technical documentation, knowledge sharing, process notes, diagrams, or other materials that help support the development team and future maintainability. Maintain awareness of security best practices and follow established procedures to help safeguard customer and company data. Seek feedback, ask questions, demonstrate continuous learning, and apply coaching from mentors and team members to improve technical and professional skills. Other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree, certificate, bootcamp, or other relevant training program in computer science, software engineering, information technology, web development, or a related technical field. OR equivalent demonstrated interest, coursework, personal projects, or experience in software development. Exposure to web development, programming fundamentals, databases, APIs, version control, or software testing is preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers, web browsers, Microsoft Office suite, collaboration tools, and development-related software. Exposure to one or more programming languages, source control tools, database concepts, web development frameworks, testing tools, or design/development tools is preferred.
