Overview Join to apply for the Human Resources Consultant role at UPMC Northwest If you're a strategic business partner looking to join a collaborative human resources team, we're hiring a Human Resources Consultant for our UPMC Northwest Human Resources team. The Human Resources Consultant is a regular, full-time position that primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Upon completion of initial training, flexibility may be offered to strong performers. Responsibilities Lead business objectives with employees and management, serving as a business partner to management on HR-related issues and acting as a change agent. Partner with leaders to provide and implement HR initiatives that support management and employees across the organization. Collaborate with the HR team to design and plan interventions that facilitate organizational changes. Collaborate with HR business and operational leaders to identify education gaps and development opportunities for management and employees. Provide consultation on coaching and mentorship for staff. Provide leadership and mentorship within the HR department and oversee HR staff as needed. Drive change management practices to enable organizational effectiveness and foster a diversity and inclusion strategy that maximizes our competitive advantage and the skills of the workforce. Effectively communicate expectations with business, operational, and HR partners while promoting a One Team, collaborative atmosphere. Participate on local and organization-wide committees focused on projects advancing the organization toward its strategic goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field and one year of employee relations experience required. OR High School Diploma/GED and three years of employee relations experience required. Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws as they apply to human resources and the employment process. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification preferred.
