Join our Interventional Radiology Department at MetroHealth!\n Primary skills utilized/learned:
\n
\n - Under the general supervision of the fluoroscopy operator, assists with a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures, which encompass the vascular, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, interventional radiology, and neuroscience service lines.
\n - The patient population shall range from infancy through geriatric.
\n - Provides a safe and supporting care environment for those patients undergoing procedures involving the use of fluoroscopy.
\n - Functions in a multipurpose role depending of the needs of the individual patient and operator, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures and in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.
\n - Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

\n Required Qualifications:
\n
\n - High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
\n - Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
\n - Possess a valid Radiographer License for the State of Ohio.
\n - Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
\n - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtains within 1 year of hire
\n - Possess a BLS Certification from the AHA or obtains within the standard probationary period.
\n - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
\n - Ability to work on-call hours on a rotating basis to meet the needs of the department.
\n - Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
\n
\n Preferred Qualifications:
\n
\n - One year of related experience with advanced certification through the ARRT in Vascular Interventional and/or Cardiac Interventional Radiography.
\n - Experience in the use of computers and sophisticated diagnostic equipment.
\n - Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and ability to interpret ECGs.
\n - Experience working with a sterile field using sterile technique.
\n - Experience operating a C-arm.
\n
\n Physical Demands:
\n
\n - May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
\n - May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
\n - See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
\n - Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
\n - Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance.
\n - Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance.
\n - Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
\n - Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
