Pay Range: $18.50 - $26.83
A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. Security Officer I's provide safety and security services to ensure the well-being of both people and property by patrolling assigned areas as needed, and enforcing rules and regulations. This role responds to all emergency requests and alarms, providing assistance and coordination. HSHS Security are often the first or last person our patients, visitors and colleagues encounter in our facilities. Therefore, Security Officer I's are expected to be professional and courteous, while balancing the challenges that occur while working in the hospital environment.
Position Specifics:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED-Required
College-level coursework in security-related areas preferred; i.e. law enforcement security and loss prevention.
Experience:
Knowledge of private security function obtained through education or work experience; i.e. military public safety or fire department. Communications skills-written verbal and interpersonal. Good physical health to be able to handle strenuous duties associated with the position. Must be willing to obtain additional training in the field as circumstances dictate.
Certifications Licenses and Registrations:
Valid state drivers license and must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles.
