Citi Trends is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to support our SOX compliance program, risk management initiatives, and internal audit activities. This role will partner with leaders across Corporate, Store Operations, Distribution Centers, and IT to evaluate business processes, identify risks, strengthen internal controls, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Lead and execute SOX compliance testing, operational audits, and special projects.
\n
• Conduct process walkthroughs and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
\n
• Identify risks, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities while recommending practical solutions.
\n
• Prepare audit reports and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to management.
\n
• Partner with business leaders to develop and validate corrective action plans.
\n
• Support external audit activities and enterprise risk management initiatives.
\n
• Utilize data analytics, AI tools, and emerging technologies to enhance audit effectiveness.
\n
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting established deadlines.
\n
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and serve as a trusted business partner.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
\n
• 5+ years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, risk management, compliance, or a related discipline.
\n
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and risk-based auditing.
\n
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
\n
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
\n
• CPA, CIA, CISA, CRMA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
\n
• Public company and/or retail industry experience preferred.
\n
