Wherever you are in the world, our goal is simple: when the wind blows, the ground shakes, or the snow falls, your Rubb building will stand strong, requiring little to no maintenance.We offer a generous compensation package, including employer subsidized Medical Insurance; company provided Life, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability Insurance; 401k with company match, affordable Dental and Vision Insurance; paid holidays; and up to two weeks of Paid Time Off in the first year of employment.ScheduleMonday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PMFriday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM as requiredPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and lifting.Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1 – 70lbs frequently.Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp/reach overhead and outward frequently.Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment while wearing vision and hearing protection, steel toed shoes, gloves and any other required protective equipment.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform welding duties using the GMAW process.Weld components in flat & horizontal positions.Operate machinery and equipment such as cutting machines, grinders, and drillsExamine materials and work piece for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete assemblies following blueprint and layout specifications.Perform assigned work to production and quality standards.Make routine decisions and problem-solving techniques to resolve any issues that may arise.Report and document any material, production, or quality issuesMaintains logs of inventory traceability.Perform routine preventative maintenance on related equipment and keep the logbooks up to date.Safely operate a forklift to handle and position material and completed product.Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company safety standards and proceduresRequired Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Must have a strong knowledge/background of welding/fabrication concepts, practices, and procedures.Minimum 1 year welding experience is required.Keen attention to detail is required.Ability to work with the metric system.Good communication skills.Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings/layouts.Ability to safely operate a fork truck.Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.Commitment toward quality, safety, and continual improvement.Understanding and support of company policies and procedures.Excellent attendance with ability to work frequent overtime.Must be able to demonstrate Welding ability/skill during assessment (interview)Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties & responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
