Experienced Steel Welder/FabricatorRequirements:Verifiable 5-10 years of full-time MIG welding and fabricating experience with AWS weld certifications D.1.1 - will consider degree in welding or certificate equivalent to 1 year of full-time experienceWeld & fabrication test required during interview process - structural steel fabricationKnowledge of industry terminologyAbility to read weld symbols and printsAbility to accurately measureAbility to follow verbal and written directionsMust be reliable – arrive at work on time and at work M-F 7:30-3:30pmIf overtime is necessary - must be willing to work as early as 6am & work Saturday mornings (usually finished before noon - Saturday OT is infrequent)Provide own basic tools – list provided during interviewPolite, friendly, cooperative attitudeEfficient team player with good communication skills to get the job done properlyStanding 90-100% of the day on concrete floors in covered, outdoor conditions (inside warehouse/shop environment) - dress for safety and weather conditionsAbility to push, pull and assist movement of heavy materials using crane, forklift and carts as neededAbility to lift up to 50-75lbs on regular basisStanding/stooping for long periods using various equipmentHolding welding and/or grinding equipment for 8+ hours a dayStarting rate of pay: $21.00-22.00/hr - review after 90 days of employment to determine payscale moving forward. At 90 days, employees will be evaluated based on daily performance, attendance, attitude, aptitude, and time management to determine pay rate moving forward.
